Welcome

Linda says, "Wet-in-wet watercolor technique always produces surprises.  The loose-flowing spontaneity of pigment moving with water is why I fell in love with it 30 years ago."

After painting in acrylic and oil in the early part of her career, Linda was ready to diversify.  The excitement the medium provides has been a constant inspiration.  A new direction has been the addition of chalk pastels in landscapes worked onto the watercolor surface thus giving a visual sense of luminosity.  Literally, expanding her horizons.

Earning a BFA from the School of Visual Arts, NYC, she freelanced and worked on
staff in the design field concentrating on book design, logo and corporate identity and most recently, interiors.  Linda enjoys sharing her love of painting and has given watercolor workshops at Cornell University and taught for years with galleries in the Hudson Valley.  She is currently teaching Basic Watercolor classes at Red Eft Gallery, Wurtsboro, NY.

Her pieces are included in a number of  private collections in Europe and South America and throughout this country.  An active member of NorthEast Watercolor Society, Garrison Art Center and Pascack Art Association,  Linda demonstrates and exhibits widely and has been in many solo and group showings.  Past exhibits include New York Botanical Gardens, Cork Gallery at Lincoln Center and Applewood Winery in Warwick.
